Prospect14’s team members have extensive national solar development experience and deep backgrounds in renewable energy.

The Prospect14 team has more than 25 years of collective experience working in renewable energy, having originated and/or developed more than 5GW of projects, the equivalent of replacing fifteen average-sized coal-fired utility plants.

Prospect14’s team has experience working with leading regional and national solar developers, with experience developing solar projects in 19 states. In addition, the team has deep experience in capital markets, with more than $2 billion in closed project financing for cleantech and renewable energy projects and ventures.

Carl J. Jackson

Carl J. Jackson most recently led project origination and business development for Cypress Creek Renewables, where he developed, took through EPC, and financed solar energy projects. Since entering the solar industry in 2010, Carl has contracted and financed 633MW of projects in 10 states.

Prior to Cypress Creek, Carl spearheaded growth as Sol Systems’ Director of Project Finance, leading Northeast project origination, liaising with the company’s investment team, developers, and sponsors seeking capital. At Sol Systems Carl’s efforts resulted in the origination and contracting of 125MW in projects sold to funding partners, including the notable 8MW Churchill project in MD, which was closed and financed as fully merchant. Carl has self-developed contracted offtake with Fortune 1,000 corporations and sold to private buyers resulting in >10MW contracted and >$20M of revenue.

Prior to entering the solar industry, Mr. Jackson cofounded a scholastic products company, Graduation Station, which he sold in 2010, and worked in financial management and energy trading for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.

Carl received his BS from the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University in Business Logistics, Supply Management & Finance. He holds Series 7 & 63 trading licenses. At Penn State Carl was a four-year scholarship athlete and co-captain of the basketball team.

Carl resides with his wife, daughter, and 2 Labrador puppies in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.

Geoffrey S. Underwood

Geoffrey S. Underwood most recently served as VP of Origination for Strata Solar, where he managed PJM, NYISO, MISO, ERCOT and SE ISO power marketing. Previously, Geoff developed utility-scale solar projects for 174 Power Global (a member of the $100 billion Hanwha Group). Since 2008, Geoff has contracted more than 500MW of projects in 12 states, and developed a recognized specialization in brownfield projects, closing the first utility-scale solar project constructed on an active Superfund/CERCLA site (the 10.86MW Maywood Solar project), resulting in receipt of the first-ever EPA RENEW Award in 2015.

Prior to 174 Power Global, Geoff managed solar asset acquisitions for Constellation Energy (now Exelon) and co-founded and led business development for a Pennsylvania-based startup solar development firm, leading growth to >$50M. Prior to his work in solar energy development, Geoff launched renewable energy equities coverage at FBR Capital Markets in 2007, and completed an eighteen year career in Washington, DC with significant work in energy policy and economics, business and venture development, and with federal agencies, Congress, and the White House.

Geoff received his BA from the University of Florida and his MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

Geoff resides with his wife and three children in Merion Station, Pennsylvania and is an avid woodworker.

Charles A. Silio

Charles A. Silio most recently served as VP – Strategy, Corporate Development and Marketing for Agility Fuel Solutions, the leading global manufacturer of clean fuel solutions for heavy-duty commercial vehicles. For Agility, he led M&A and strategic partnerships, global marketing, and internal business transformation initiatives including ERP system implementation.

Prior to joining Agility in 2013, Charlie was a Principal with Element Partners, a private equity firm focused on energy and industrial technology businesses. His investments included Agility, where he served on the board of directors and audit committee, and TPI Composites (Nasdaq: TPIC), a leading manufacturer of wind turbine blades and composite vehicle structures. Prior to joining Element he worked for four years with D. E. Shaw & Co. in New York and London in credit opportunities, special situations, and private equity; with GTCR in Chicago, where he made control private equity investments in transaction processing, business services, and energy companies; and as a technology and telecom investment banker at Lazard.

Charlie holds an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, an MSc. with distinction in Politics of the World Economy from the London School of Economics, and a BSE in Civil Engineering and Operations Research with high honors from Princeton University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a CFA charterholder, and a PMI Project Management Professional.

Charlie resides with his wife and three children in Narberth, Pennsylvania, where he is a former elected member of Borough Council.
